Teleku :: Cloud Communications (Replacement)

GetVocal is announcing its launch of Teleku, a new enterprise-grade cloud communications platform that offers Web developers a RESTful web service API for building Voice and SMS-based phone applications in the cloud.  Teleku introduces a simple and open DSL called Phone Markup Language that can be used by Web applications as XML or JSON to initiate or answer phone calls, play audio files and text-to-speech, interact with caller input using DTMF or speech, record audio, transfer calls, and send/receive SMS text messages via a simple web service.  While Teleku, itself, runs in the cloud, it can connect to any VoiceXML-compliant solution allowing the enterprise to breath new life into existing on-premise VoiceXML Gateways or leverage existing VoiceXML hosting partnerships to extend their phone applications.
