Richard P. Nespola

TMNG Global, Founder/Chairman/CEO

Prior to founding The Management Network Group in 1990, Rich held several executive positions at major communications and media companies. Recruited from the Media industry, Rich joined MCI in 1983 and held executive positions in revenue and treasury operations, systems development and testing and major global account management. At Sprint, he was Sr. Vice President of Finance, responsible for the order-to-cash process including: network operations, billing and systems analysis, and receivables management. He also served as Executive Vice President of Strategic Markets and Product Pricing. Following Sprint, he became President and COO of Telesphere Communications.


Rich is a member of the Board of Trustees of Long Island University and is on the Board of WorldGate Communications and One Communications. He is also a member of the Executive Council of the International Engineering Consortium. In 1997 and 1998, he was named by Phone+ magazine as one of the industry’s 25 most influential people. In 2000, he received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Master Award for the Western Region making him a national finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® program. He previously served as a director and chairman of the Association of Telecommunications Financial Managers.


Rich has been published and quoted in various industry trade publications including Telephony, Network World, and Billing & OSS World; as well as in the mainstream media: Fortune, Wall Street Journal, New York Times and the Financial Times. He has made television appearances on FOX Business News, CNBC’s “Squawkbox” and Bloomberg News. Rich is a frequent speaker and moderator at various industry events including CTIA and the Argyle Telecom Forum.


Rich earned his BA and MBA from C.W. Post College of Long Island University and has been a member of their adjunct faculty in the College of Management.
