Leveraging his expertise in user interface and speech recognition technology, Desai continues to design and develop innovations that bridge the gap between the online and mobile worlds through voice-activated location-based services.
Currently, Desai is co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Dial Directions, the first company to provide free voice-activated location-based services to all cell phones. The Dial Directions platform blends groundbreaking voice interface, navigation, and speech recognition into a simple cell phone call that has met enthusiastic consumer adoption. By just calling DIR-ECT-IONS (347-328-4667), any cell phone user can instantly ask for driving directions to any destination address, intersection, or store location. Desai leads overall strategy for Dial Direction's technology platform, which provides first-of-its-kind location-based services (directions, locations, reservations, invitations) to the consumer public and industry partners.
Previously, Desai co-founded and led product strategy at Voxify, a successful voice-activated products provider for Fortune 1000 contact centers worldwide. Voxify's product team was responsible for designing and developing innovative, award-winning contact center applications currently in public use by leading international airlines, hotels and retailers. Before Voxify, Desai co-founded Anubis, a CRM software provider that created an award-winning platform used by more than 40 multinational companies, prior to the company's acquisition.
Desai holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from MIT.
