Your PC holds your address books and provides access to online directories. So why do we still press buttons on a telephone when we want to call someone? Marrying search and calling is inevitiable, and opens up interesting advertising possibilities, but nobody has cracked the formula yet to make it work on a broad scale. This talk looks at some of the challenges and opportunties of marrying search with calling, and highlights the approach used by Toktumi, a new startup that integrates phones and PCs to provide a powerful office phone system for small offices and home-based businesses.
