About eComm

Now more than ever it's indispensable to see-ahead, track-change and connect with those who are at the forefront of the communications revolution.

Did you know for example that telephony and SMS revenues have already peaked and have started to decline in at least four developed countries - a pattern likely to be repeated elsewhere? And yet there are real opportunities for substantial transformation and growth - at least for those ahead of the curve looking towards the "post-telecom era"?

Time has become critical to have a vendor independent forum to facilitate:

  • Critical Conversations and Dialogue
  • Building of Strategic Alliances and Contacts

An all-in-one (Telecom, Mobile and Internet Communications) forum focused on innovation and constantly answering "what's next?" was long overdue. It was for this reason that back in 2008, founder Lee S Dryburgh gathered 300 top influencer's and 80 speakers from 15 countries at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California.

The original intention was simply to have a small meeting of friends, but it quickly mushroomed in size. America 2009 built upon that foundation with world-class speakers and 360 attendees. Due to excessive interest coming from Europe, the event spread to Europe in 2009 with a tremendous event held in Amsterdam last fall.

Facts are - communications innovation is being democratized. The winners will be those who embrace it. The gap between what telecom operators are doing (or allowing) and where end users are taking us is ever widening.

The Emerging Communications Conference & Awards (eComm) provides this much-needed community forum. eComm:

  • Attracts executives and top influencer's from across the telecom, mobile and Internet space
  • Launches real-world startups
  • Explores business models and new partnership structures
  • Gives stage time to cutting-edge academic projects
  • Presents views from the incumbent telecom players
  • Stirs required policy debates
  • Promotes garage based hacks
  • Brings out visionaries
  • Provides a venue to meet and do business, as well as be inspired
  • Showcases bleeding-edge technologies
  • Provides a critical forum for all players across the full spectrum

We've taken great pains starting in 2008 to build out this forum of communication innovator's.

We've strategically located America 2010 within free and time-saving access of San Francisco International Airport.
