Mobile video communication is no longer just a novel idea and GIPS presentation will discuss how to offer a high-quality mobile video communication experience on the iPhone and Android platforms, while overcoming wireless network and device challenges.
The iPhone and Android devices, along with 3G/4G and Wi-Fi proliferation, improved processing power and technological innovations such as SVC--which GIPS detailed at eComm Europe 2009--all have facilitated the dramatic growth of mobile apps. Mobile video communication offers huge opportunities for app developers with new business and revenue models but mobile networks and devices can be the most challenging environment to offer a high quality video experience. As mobile data traffic is expected to grow 66 times by 2013 this presentation will take a look at the critical issues developers should tune in to with regards to mobile video.
