Troy Davis (@troyd) co-founded and runs Cloudvox, a hosted Web service and API for placing, receiving, and controlling phone calls with existing software, from anywhere on the Internet.
Others say that Cloudvox is "Amazon EC2 for phone apps" or "Asterisk in the cloud." Cloudvox was acquired by Ifbyphone in 2010.
Davis turns back-of-the-napkin ideas into real, useful, sustainable Web services.
He's a board member of the Seattle Internet Exchange peering point, and has held product management, software, and engineering roles with Semaphore, Loudeye, and
RealNetworks. A coffee fiend and pool player, Davis rarely writes about himself in the third person.
