With 500 Ways to Communicate, Why Should a Customer Choose Your New Offering?

We all recognize information overload in our lives--increased interruptions, growing volume of messages, multiple channels of communications, and the surprising lack of relevance behind all of it.  So how can we expect to add yet another option for communication in our customers' lives?  How can we grow user adoption in this environment?

We can learn the best practices for combating information overload and then offer that back to our customers.  We all know technology alone doesn't make people productive or drive their adoption.  However, technology that addresses communication challenges and teaches people how to become excited by this new technology will not only increase productivity but also our bottom lines.

In this talk I'll briefly outline the problem described above, and then focus on:
(1) many of the best practices are for addressing information  overload
(2) how to implement these best practices into your own tools
(3) the experience I've had with applying these best practices to educate and assist my own customers (and thereby grow user adoption)
