Christine Perey

Perey Research & Consulting, Independant Consultant

Christine Perey is an evangelist with 19 years experience in emerging multimedia communications. She provides management consulting, strategic planning, technology transfer and business development services and is instrumental in launching a number of AR market initiatives. She began by founding and serving as the publisher and editor of The QuickTime Forum from 1991-1993 and the founder of The QuickTime Movie Festival.
Perey has authored over 100 feature articles on the topic of multimedia communications. She is an invited speaker at industry events and serves on panels and committees dedicated to the advancement of rich media experiences in business and consumer markets.
Perey co-authored the Personal Mobile Video Communications market research report published by Wainhouse Research in 2006. She is the author of the Informa Telecoms & Media market research reports: Mobile Social Networking: Communities and Content on the Move and Mobile Social Networking: Business, Technology and Mobile Operator Strategies.
In 2009 Perey was the co-chair of the W3C Workshop on the Future of Social Networking. Following this workshop, she became a W3C invited expert. She also was the chair of the Mobile Committee of the ISMAR 09 conference where she conducted the first Mobile Magic Wand Augmented Reality Workshop. She founded and is the organizer of the Swiss Augmented Reality Meetup Group.
After wrangling dudes on horseback in the Colorado Rockies, daughters and new technologies in the foothills of the Sierra mountains (Northern California), she now wrangles spimes in cyberspace from her balcony over Lake Geneva in Montreux Switzerland.
